RELEASE
Cambridge, Canada, JANUARY 11, 2023
We are excited to announce the latest update to the LogiSense Billing platform, which includes significant enhancements that cater to our customers' growing needs. Introducing Price Books, Bulk Quantities, and enhanced API Permissions, which will simplify account management, streamline product catalog management, and provide more flexibility in using the system through our APIs
Price Books cater to customers who sell services globally and require a more flexible product catalog. This feature enables you to track data holistically for products and services sold worldwide, allowing products to be sold in different regions and currencies at varying prices. Price Books simplify product catalog management and offer an additional restriction on what products an account can buy, reducing errors in adding products to accounts.
The update is particularly beneficial for separating products by market or business entity. This not only streamlines product catalog management but also provides an additional restriction on what products an account can buy, which reduces errors during the initial account setup. It is especially useful for European markets but can be applied to any region where products are sold in the same currency in multiple countries.
This new feature addresses the growing demand for efficient management of large quantities of services in the B2B market, particularly in XaaS where usage isn’t as common. Bulk Quantity allows customers to manage multiple instances of a product with a single product record on an account, streamlining billing and maintenance processes. This improvement simplifies account management and ensures accuracy in taxes returned from AvaTax by leveraging the Quantity field.
This feature has been implemented in several areas, including Account Products, Orders, Manual Transactions and Credits, Taxation, Invoicing, and Reports.
This enhancement is designed for customers who prefer to use our APIs and integrate LogiSense Billing into their workflows without relying on the UI and Admin Portal. By extending user permissions to cover our APIs, we provide more flexibility in using the system through our APIs and better support for Single Sign-On (SSO). This update introduces the concept of API Users, Roles, and Role Groups, allowing you to differentiate API users from those who can log into and use the administration console.
We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible experience and continuously improving our platform to meet their needs. Don't miss out on these new features designed to improve your billing experience. Learn more about LogiSense and try the updated platform today.
