Company information is configured in Setup / Users & Accounts / Company / Company
Companies store address details for an organization. Once configured companies can be attached to accounts and account contacts to indicate the account/contact's affiliation and location.
Countries need to be setup in order to populate country and state values on companies.
The Companies panel on the left of this screen allows you to select existing companies to view and edit on the Edit Company panel to the right. Actions are also available in this panel which are shown as icons above the Filter text box. The available actions are described below.
Deletes the company if not in use (connected to an account or contact)
Adds a new company
The information in this panel reflects the currently selected company. From here you can change company details (fields will display a red left border if a value is required and purple text if the field is read-only and cannot be modified).
Name: the company name
Country: the country the company resides in
Address 1: the company address
Address 2: additional address information (e.g. floor number, unit number)
City: the city the company resides in
State: the state the company resides in
ZipCode: the zip code/postal code the company resides in
This section displays where the selected company is used in the system. By default the reference data is displayed in a summary format to indicate where the company is in use, however the Entity drop down field can be used to view the exact system objects that the company is configured on.
