DIAL-UP COMPRESSION (DIAL-UP ACCELERATION)

The LogiSense dial-up Compression plug-in retrieves data from the requested external web server using a high-speed Internet connection, then compresses and optimizes the content for the last mile trip. The server optimizes the traffic over the HTTP protocol.

To simplify operation and administration our dial-up compression solution is based on a plug-in for our Cache Server. As a result end users do not require client-side software in order to received accelerated dial-up content. Service providers can include dial-up compression at a nominal fee. The LogiSense Dial-up Compression plug-in is an economical compression solution that allows service providers a marketing opportunity by offering dial-up acceleration at no additional charge to their users.

Implementation of the LogiSense dial-up compression plug-in is very straight forward. Once the EngageIP Cache Server is installed a single administrator level setting will turn on dial-up compression.
