LAYER 7 FILTERING (P2P)

The EngageIP Traffic Manager network appliance provides simple control of P2P bandwith usage incorporating application layer controls in addition to port level controls. EngageIP Traffic Manager also includes packet inspection which enables the application to effectively manage port hopping applications such as Kazaa, Morpheus and others.

WIRELESS GATEWAY

Can be deployed in as little as one day, depending on installation. As an example a café hotspot or a corporate mobility center can be up and running on the same day it is installed. Larger installations will take longer to deploy as a wireless infrastructure must be built out. The architecture provides centralized command and remote control of a large scale, multi-point Wi-Fi deployment.

BANDWIDTH CONTROL

Limiting bandwidth on the access hardware addresses bandwidth consumption at the network level but it does not facilitate dynamic bandwidth control at the user level. EngageIP Traffic Manager offers a simple web interface for network level control and integrates with EngageIP Billing for user level bandwidth management.

DIAL-UP COMPRESSION

The LogiSense dial-up Compression plugin retrieves data from the requested external web server using a high-speed Internet connection, then compresses and optimizes the content for the last mile trip. The server optimizes the traffic over the HTTP protocol.
